Elmwood-Murdock American Legion Post 247 Baseball Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to encourage, solicit, receive, and use charitable contributions and the income derived therefrom (even to the point of exhaustion of principal) in support of the current and future needs of Elmwood-Murdock Legion Post 247 Baseball, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Maintenance, repair, improvement, and enhancement of baseball fields, facilities, and related infrastructure used by Elmwood-Murdock Legion Post 247 Baseball, including playing surfaces, fencing, lighting, dugouts, scoreboards, seating, storage facilities, and safety-related improvements;
  • Acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials necessary for the operation of an American Legion Baseball program;
  • Support of player development, coaching, training, and educational activities that promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, citizenship, and physical fitness among youth participants;
  • Payment of reasonable costs associated with league participation, tournaments, umpires, field preparation, insurance, and program operations; and
  • Support for capital improvements, special projects, and long-term facility planning intended to sustain and improve the baseball program for future generations.
