The purpose of the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs is to foster the effective representation of persons claiming entitlements on account of the honorable military service of any person as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101; to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas and information; to facilitate reciprocal State Services; to secure uniformity, equality, efficiency and effectiveness in providing services to veterans and their family members in all the State and Territories; and to maintain an interest in all veterans legislation.
The National Association recognized the great worth and merit of all existing congressionally chartered veterans’ organizations and assets a willingness and determine to cooperate with such organizations. It further declares a deep and abiding interest in the welfare of all veterans and their families regardless of organizational affiliation or the lack of it.
The purpose of the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs fund is to support the activities of the association including conventions, meetings, in order to support the purposes state above. This fund also can support charitable organizations that promote the awareness of the same.
