The purpose of the fund is to educate parents and student-athletes on:
- gun safety and responsible gun ownership
- the civic responsibilities associated with gun ownership and the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution
- the mental and physical demands of competitive trapshooting
The objective of the fund is to provide responsible student-athletes with a structured, disciplined environment to:
- hone their marksmanship skills
- grow as responsible citizens at the local, state and national levels
- develop lifelong friendships with teammates and competitors
- benefit parents by reducing the financial burden associated with trap shooting
- educate and initiate community projects in the larger Papillion-La Vista community.
