Midlands Community Foundation (MCF) has awarded grants totaling $59,117 to 23 non-profit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties.

Papillion, Neb., April 24, 2025 – Midlands Community Foundation (MCF) has awarded grants totaling $59,117 to 23 non-profit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties including:

  • Asha’s House – $2,500
  • Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation – $2,500
  • ESU 3 Educational Foundation – $2,500
  • Elmwood Public Library – $2,233
  • Elmwood Rescue – $2,500
  • Habitat for Humanity of Omaha – $2,500
  • Historic Downtown Plattsmouth Association – $5,000
  • Keep Cass County Beautiful – $1,000
  • Louisville Public Schools – $5,000
  • MOMentum – $2,500
  • Mercy Housing Midwest – $2,500
  • Mosaic – $2,500
  • Omaha Sports Commission – $2,768
  • Papillion Area Community Singers – $2,000
  • Papillion La Vista Arts Network – $1,500
  • Papillion Senior Citizens Center Inc. – $2,500
  • Sarpy County Historical Society/ Sarpy County Museum – $996
  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace – $2,500
  • Special Olympics Nebraska, Inc. – $3,000
  • TeamMates of Bellevue – $2,500
  • TeamMates of Papillion-La Vista – $2,500
  • Vita Nova Maternity Community – $3,000
  • Youth Frontiers Inc. – $2,620

The grants will support a variety of programs and initiatives in MCF’s areas of focus including arts, community and economic development, education, health, and human services.

Our grants program enables us to positively impact Sarpy and Cass counties in this uniquely holistic way, and it’s all made possible by those who donate to MCF each year,” said Diane Knicky, Executive Director. “We’re incredibly grateful for those contributions that allow us to uplift our communities.”

This is the second of two grant distributions for Midlands Community Foundation’s fiscal year. The next grant deadline will be August 1, 2025, with funds distributed in October.

The mission of Midlands Community Foundation is to be a catalyst for lasting impact in Sarpy and Cass counties and to give opportunities to organizations and individuals so that they can pursue their charitable goals.
