Midlands Community Foundation (MCF) has awarded grants totaling $84,800 to 29 non-profit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties:
-Alcoholic Resocialization Conditioning Help Inc (ARCH) – $3,600
-Angels Among Us – $3,000
-Bellevue Together Inc. – $4,000
-Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation – $2,000
-Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department – $2,200
-Dayspring Academy NE – $2,000
-ENCAP dba Bellevue Food Pantry – $5,000
-Fontenelle Forest – $2,500
-Frisbee-Eidenmiller-McCaig American Legion Post 247 – $5,000
-Habitat for Humanity of Omaha – $3,000
-Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy, Inc. – $2,500
-National Inventors Hall of Fame, Inc. – $3,500
-Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries – $2,000
-Omaha Sports Commission – $2,000
-Papillion La Vista Arts Network (PLAN) – $1,500
-Papillion Senior Citizen Center, Inc. – $2,500
-Plattsmouth Public Library Foundation – $2,500
-Radio Talking Book Service Inc. – $2,500
-Revitalization Association of Weeping Water – $3,000
-SNAP! Productions – $3,000
-Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce – $2,000
-Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Omaha NE Chapter – $3,000
-Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. – $3,500
-Springfield Community Foundation – $2,500
-Springfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue – $4,000
-The Dignity Closet – $5,000
-The Furniture Project – $3,000
-Together Inc of Metropolitan Omaha – $2,500
-Women’s Center for Advancement – $2,000
The grants will support a variety of programs and initiatives in MCF’s areas of focus including arts, community and economic development, education, health, and human services.
“MCF is proud to support nonprofits addressing such a diverse range of community needs,” said Executive Director Diane Knicky. “Our grants program allows us to make a meaningful, holistic impact across Sarpy and Cass counties, and it’s made possible by the generosity of our donors each year. We are sincerely grateful for their support, which enables us to continue strengthening our communities.”
This is the second of two grant distributions for Midlands Community Foundation’s fiscal year. The next grant deadline will be August 1, 2026, with funds distributed in October.
The mission of Midlands Community Foundation is to be a catalyst for lasting impact in Sarpy and Cass counties and to give opportunities to organizations and individuals so that they can pursue their charitable goals.
