Midlands Community Foundation raised $54,000 at its 2025 golf tournament at Oak Hills Country Club on Monday, May 19. The tournament was sold out with 36 teams participating.
Proceeds from the tournament will cover student lunch debt in Sarpy and Cass County school districts, as well as support the purchase of items for school community closets that provide clothing and hygiene products for students in need. Through the generous contributions of tournament sponsors and participants, including Double Eagle Sponsor National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA), the beneficiary school districts are: Bellevue Public Schools, Conestoga Public Schools, Elmwood Murdock Public Schools, Louisville Public Schools, Papillion-La Vista Community Schools, Springfield Platteview Community Schools, and Weeping Water Public Schools.
The winners of MCF’s Annual Golf Tournament were Andy Frahm, Bill Bucher, Tony Essay and Dave Williams golfing for First National Bank.
“We are so grateful for the enthusiastic support of our golf tournament,” said Diane Knicky, Executive Director. “It reflects the faith our community has in MCF to positively impact kids and families across Sarpy and Cass counties, and that’s a great honor.”
The mission of Midlands Community Foundation is to be a catalyst for lasting impact in Sarpy and Cass counties and to give opportunities to organizations and individuals so that they can pursue their charitable goals. The Foundation focuses its support in the areas of arts, community and economic development, education, health, and human services.
