Midlands Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $91,475 to 22 non-profit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties including:

- Bellevue Housing Authority – $3,400
- Bellevue University – $3,000
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands – $5,000
- Cass County CASA – $3,000
- Cass County Nebraska Development Council – $5,000
- CHI Health Midlands Hospital – $7,000
- College of St. Mary – $3,000
- Girls Incorporated of Omaha – $5,000
- HELP Adult Services – $4,500
- Home Run Foundation of Greater Omaha – $3,100
- Joslyn Art Museum – $5,000
- Lofte Community Theatre – $2,500
- Patriotic Productions – $5,000
- Plattsmouth Public Library Foundation – $5,000
- The Returning Veterans Resource Network – $3,000
- Salvation Army – Walk for Warmth – $5,000
- Sarpy County SAFE Policy Corporation – $1,800
- Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. (SENCA) – $5,200
- Weeping Water Community Booster Fund – $3,000
- YMCA of Greater Omaha – $5,000
- Youth Emergency Services – $4,600
“We are pleased to be able to provide this needed financial support to assist these non-profit organizations with their new and existing projects and programs which we believe will enhance the quality of life for Sarpy and Cass county residents,” said Tonee Gay, Executive Director.
This is the second of two grant distributions for Midlands Community Foundation’s fiscal year. The next grant deadline will be August 1, 2015, with funds distributed in October.
Through its grants program, Midlands Community Foundation places an emphasis on prevention and education. The Foundation has a strong commitment toward programs benefiting health, art, culture, community, economic development, education, and human services.
The mission of the Midlands Community Foundation is to benefit the diverse needs of the Sarpy and Cass county communities by providing financial support, involvement and service.
