The Midlands Community Foundation Board of Directors has named three new members to its Board. They are Rick Iske, representing Springfield; Pat Sullivan, representing Bellevue; and Ken Summerfield, representing Papillion.
Rick Iske is president and agent of Rick Iske Insurance, Inc., specializing in crop risk management. He also owns and operates Coyote Creek Farms, Inc. Iske holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He serves on the Sarpy County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and has served on the Boards of the Gretna Farmers Cooperative Association, the Springfield Fire Department, the Rain & Hail Insurance Society National Board and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Iske served as the chair of the 2011 MCF Golf Tournament and is active with the MCF Reflection Ball.
Pat Sullivan graduated from the Nebraska School of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska, and was admitted to practice law in Nebraska in 1994 and in Iowa in 2012. Sullivan’s practice, Adams & Sullivan, P.C., L.L.O., focuses on real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, business law, and estate planning, along with representing several governmental entities including the City of Bellevue for which he serves as general counsel. Sullivan is a member of the Sarpy County Bar Association and the 2nd Judicial District Bar Association. He also is a member of the Sarpy County Merit Commission and is active in local charitable and civic organizations, including the Bellevue Community Foundation and Midlands Community Foundation, for which he served as 2015 Golf Tournament chair.
Ken Summerfield has operated his own American Family Insurance agency since 1996 in Papillion, where he has lived since 1994. He has been in the insurance industry since 1985. Summerfield has been a Papillion-LaVista School District Cooperation Best Partner since 2008. He is a strong volunteer and community minded member of Papillion with active roles with his church’s youth groups and with MCF’s Golf Tournament and Reflection Ball for which he was chair in 2007 and 2015, respectively.

The mission of Midlands Community Foundation is to benefit the diverse needs of the Sarpy and Cass county communities by providing financial support, involvement and service. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated millions of dollars to many worthy organizations with an emphasis toward prevention and education in the areas of health, art, culture, community, education, economic development and human services.
