2007 Non-Profit of the Year

Midlands Community Foundation was named 2007 Non-Profit of the Year at the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards Luncheon in May. Each year, the Chamber recognizes the special contributions that small businesses make to the Sarpy community and economy.

Midlands Community Foundation to Present $85,000 Check to Heartland Family Service

Midlands Community Foundation will present a check for $85,000 to Heartland Family Service on Thursday, February 21 at a noon reception at Midlands Community Foundation’s office at 945 North Adams Street, Suite 7 in Papillion. Heartland Family Service was chosen to receive the proceeds from the Foundation’s 26th Annual Reflection Ball held on October 6, 2007.

Midlands Community Foundation Awards Grants Totaling $187,999

Midlands Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $187,999 to nine Sarpy and Cass County organizations including Alegent Health Midlands Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association, Papillion-La Vista Community Theatre, American Cancer Society, Gretna Public Schools, Sarpy County YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Plattsmouth Volunteer Rescue Department, and Gretna Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
